I spent over a year in Oregon though I do not live there now. Mountains, ocean, forests, deserts: has it all. Portland is the one city that I believe I could live in. Well, you have to be there. Happy travels!
Thanks vanilla. My wife and I have discussed living in Portland because it is noted for being wheelchair accessible. Have heard that it is very cloudy and rainy. May be mistaken though.
Bob, not too mistaken. The "rainy season" typically runs from October through April or so. But June through September it is often quite dry, sunny, and warm. The highest temp I ever experienced there was 107 in August. A true anomaly, though, for it seldom reaches the ninety mark.
I like Arkansas Michelle. I was in Bentonville negotiating a software interface with Walmart about 10 years ago. Did not have a chance to catch the museum. But I have really enjoy my times in Little Rock, Eureka Springs and Hot Springs.

DeleteArkansas is wonderful! A great museum in Bentonville, lots of nature and mountains too.
