Tell Me About Your Blog

I have another blog, An Eye for Redemption, that celebrated it's 10th Blogoversary last month. For the first few years it was my only blog. It's focus has always been about faith and redemption. These days I try to post a devotional thought there a few times a week. You can read it here.

I, and perhaps others, would love to hear a bit about your blog(s) if you have one. Maybe, in the comments section, you can post a link to it, share when you started it, how frequently you post there and what you like to post about.  And who knows, maybe you and I will make a few friends?

  1. I started my blog in 2005 I think. Too long ago to remember for sure. I only post a couple times a week now at most since my health has gotten worse. Mostly cross stitching, Sylvia Joy the kitty and interesting things I see when I am out and about! http://ozarksstitching.blogspot.com/

  2. I started my blog in August 2013. I post about twice a month and I write about many things. I write ministry updates about my work in Cambodia, I write things I'm learning or observations about the culture here. I also will write random blogs about whatever I'm thinking about or inspired to write about. My desire is to write in a way that readers can take something away from it, whether they're inspired, or the Lord spoke to them through my writing, or they just learned something interesting and new.

  3. Thanks Bob for letting me introduce my blogs.

I started a nature blog called, Christian Naturalist, verde33.blogspot.com. The God who created man also created nature. Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created through Him and for Him.” We can get to know God by what we see in nature. For He is the creator as well as the author of the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;”

I study nature to increase my understanding of the Bible because Jesus is the creator of both. My nature blog is mainly a photo blog.

My first blog post was in July 2004.

I have another blog called Following His Path; verde34.blogspot.com. I first posted in that blog in August 2007. I like to study the Bible so these posts are my studies from the Bible.

In 1988 to 1995 I would send letters of my Bible studies to missionaries. My web page called Water from the Rock Bible Studies; wftr.webs.com is mainly from these letters I wrote back then. The web page was created in 1998. I do add a few things to it now and then. Blogging is so much easier than writing code for html without software, so I don't put much on it.

Writing is hard for me. But at the same time, to write is to learn. I enjoy and am encouraged by learning. I pray others would get something out of what I write.

  4. I have been blogging since 2006. I love writing and have missed my neglected blog. I write about all kinds of things because life is full of all kinds of things. Come on over, I'm not always right but I do listen.

  5. Bob, I started my blog in November of 2008. It's a humor blog that tries to prove that Calvinists have a sense of humor. I have a number of characters on board, including a weekly Arminian blog entitled Sola Bootstrapa. Even though my blog is titled, Calvinistic Cartoons, I have poked fun at everyone across the board...including myself. Thanks for allowing all of us old bloggers a voice on your Kansas-born blog.

  7. It sounds like you've kept a good network up, Bob. :-)

Of course, I'm spinning mine back up for a while on the topic of living better. We'll see how that works out for me.

I started blogging in 2006 and I've done it daily for several years till I stopped and blogged less until recently. I've decided to come back beginning of this year and I'm now back on a daily for the past ten months already. I thank God for sustaining me through it. I am learning so much from Him again through my thinking and writing daily.
Thanks Bob for this chance to introduce my blog pearlie gates.

  9. I started my blog in 2006 at the urging of my cousin. It was a way to share my photographs and the life around me. I then joined the meme called ABC Wednesday and did that for 7 years...faithfully every week. I really loved it and it helped me look at my world through different eyes. As time went one less people were commenting on my blog posts and it just began to feel like work. I always stated that when it no longer was fun I would stop. So....all that to say, I still blog but it's only about once a week and I have found it's a great way to journal my life through photos and word. I also print a book through Blog2print for each year. It's a perfect record and hope someday my kids will enjoy looking back at all the entries.
