Things I Wish I Didn't Know

ReplyDeleteI understand your list, as you understood mine. But then I have to step back and ask: what good has come of all this pain and heartache?
To me, you are one of the most compassionate, empathetic and encouraging people I know. Through all you've endured (way more than me) you have not become bitter, you reach out to others, you never complain bitterly. You are an example and an inspiration.
I wish I did not know about alcohol and the pain it causes.

Wish I didn't know about Fair-weather friends.

Wish I didn't know about financial difficulties.
But...
I'm so thankful that I have home, loving husband and family and that my God loves me.
I wish I didn't know how hellishly stupid and heartless people can be.

I wish I didn't know about being the parent of a drug addict, even though THANKFULLY very much into his recovery.

I wish I didn't know about how child sexual abuse devastates lives.
I wish I didn't know about how much faster life goes by the older we get....
