Has anyone heard that the world as we know it will end on December 21, 2012? There is a website dedicated to the day. Here is an excerpt from the wiki: "The forecast is based primarily on what is claimed to be the end-date of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012, along with interpretations of assorted legends, scriptures, numerological constructions and prophecies."
Hmmm.. something to think about.. okay.. I am done thinking. What do you all think about this phenomenon? It reminds me of the many predictions about the second coming of Christ.
That calendar is suffering from the original y2k bug.

ReplyDeleteI also think that the universe, which depends on star energy to sustain life, will be dead when the last star burns out many billions of years from now.
I don't think that mankind will survive long enough for the stars to become a concern. I expect Mankind to destroy itself before God or Nature does it.
I've run into people who actually believe this, of course they also usually believe that 9/11 was an inside job and that President Obama is a secret muslin [sic].
