ALS Awareness Day


Today is the National ALS Awareness Day. In honor of the day I am posting this 2007 video of my cyber-friend Jill Hollis. I have posted about Jill before.. her blog is filled with the courage, transparency and vulnerability of this amazing woman who is battling this awful disease. I recommend this short video to you.. it shows Jill before she was wheelchair bound.. I also commend you to Jill's blog.

    My grandfather passed away when I was 12 from ALS. Such a terrible disease!

    Jill is beyond incredible and I am so proud to call her my friend. Thank you for posting this video--I'm so glad people can SEE this lady and know her through her blog.

    Thanks for this, KB. I lost a friend to ALS, but then, you see Stephen Hawking has survived 40 years with it.
    My stepmom's disease is similar in effect to this. I cannot imagine how people deal with it.
