Ricardo Montalbán passed away yesterday. I can hardly remember him and not think of Mr Roark of Fantasy Island or Khan of the second Star Trek movie (and the original episode where he played that same character).
Sympathies go out to his family, friends and fans during this time.
I have seen Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan at least 200 times. I could almost quote each line, along with score and sound effects, of the entire movie. For those trekies, The original episode was called Space Seed. This is a tragic loss to me.

ReplyDeleteOh Fantasy Island - one of my favourites back then. His is one of THE faces of my childhood. I did not realise he was in Star Trek - I'll need to check that out.
ReplyDeleteSigh. Another great name in television and movie. I can still remember his mannerism, his accent and the confident way he carried himself. RIP.
