Chiefs 0, Panthers 34

With less than 40 rushing yards this pitiful performance gives the home team their fourth loss in five games this year.. this loss being distquished as their very first shutout of 2008.. sigh.

The only bright spot of the game (for me anyway) was when KC star tightend Tony Gonzales caught a pass that made him the all time yard leader for a tightend eclipsing Shannon Sharpe's record. Good for Tony.. but bad game for the Chiefs.

  1. I think it's on par with Mizzou's stomping of the Huskers.

I hate that I live in Missouri now.

  2. At least Missouri has one winning team - the #3 Tigers :)

  3. I'm sorry Bob. The Bungles came out yesterday looking worse than ever. Then, they gave the Cowboys a scare right up until they snatched defeat from the jaw of victory again.

A "moral victory" maybe. But, we're still 0-5

  4. Brian, maybe you all will win in the end and get better draft picks than we will :(

  5. Yeah. How's that worked for the Bengals so far? We've had great draft picks for most of the last 18 years and still are awful.

I'm afraid there is no silver lining. Some wish we'd go 0-16 and Mike Brown would fire Marvin Lewis. Ain't gonna happen. 1.) We won't go 0-16. No one's ever "accomplished" that. 2.) Mike Brown won't fire Marvin Lewis. He's too cheap. 3.) We wouldn't do any better than Marvin if we brought in a replacement. No self-respecting coach with experience will work for Mike Brown.

  6. What do you think about bringing Marty Schottenheimer to Cincy?

  7. Marty sure couldn't hurt.

I'm resigned to being mediocre (at best- actually I DREAM about being mediocre) until Mike Brown is physically unable to run the team anymore.
